Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Driftwood & Dough. Each piece is carefully handcrafted, finished, packaged, and prepared with attention to detail. Because many of our products are handmade, made to order, personalized, limited in quantity, or created using natural materials, our return policy varies by product type.

Returns

Eligible non-custom items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

• Unused and in its original condition
• Free from damage, wear, stains, odors, or alterations
• Returned with all original components and accessories
• Securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping

Please contact Driftwood & Dough before returning an item. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect due to an error by Driftwood & Dough, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Personalized, Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Because these products are created specifically for you, personalized, customized, and made-to-order products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, except when an item arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was ordered.

Please carefully review all names, dates, spelling, colors, quantities, and personalization information before submitting your order.

Once production has begun, personalized or custom orders cannot be canceled because materials and labor have already been committed to your order.

Limited-Edition & One-of-a-Kind Pieces

Products identified as one-of-a-kind or limited handmade pieces may have natural and handcrafted variations.

The product photographs for one-of-a-kind pieces are intended to show the actual piece being offered whenever stated in the listing.

Natural variations and handmade characteristics are not considered defects.

Natural & Handmade Materials

Many Driftwood & Dough products incorporate genuine oyster shells, scallop shells, sand dollars, driftwood, wood, beads, and other natural or individually handcrafted materials.

Natural variations may include differences in:

• Shape
• Size
• Color
• Texture
• Curvature
• Surface markings
• Shell edges
• Pattern placement
• Hand-painted or hand-applied finishes

No two handmade pieces will be exactly alike. These natural and handcrafted variations are part of the character of the product and are not considered damage or manufacturing defects.

Earrings & Jewelry

For hygiene reasons, earrings and other pierced jewelry are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Candles

Used or burned candles cannot be returned.

Because our oyster shell candles are created using genuine natural shells, variations in shell shape, depth, texture, coloring, and curvature are expected.

Always follow the candle care and safety instructions supplied with your product.

Decorative & Decoupaged Tableware

Hand-decoupaged and decorative serving pieces must be used according to the care and use instructions provided in the individual product listing.

Damage resulting from placing decorative pieces in an oven, microwave, dishwasher, prolonged soaking, exposure to excessive heat, or other use contrary to the provided care instructions is not considered a product defect and is not eligible for a refund or replacement.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

We carefully package our products, but handmade and fragile items can occasionally be damaged during shipping.

If your order arrives damaged, broken, defective, or incorrect, please contact Driftwood & Dough within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

• Your order number
• A description of the problem
• Clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect item
• Photographs of the shipping box
• Photographs of the interior packaging
• Photographs of any visible damage to the shipping carton

Please keep the item and all original packaging while your claim is being reviewed. The shipping carrier may require photographs or inspection of the packaging.

When appropriate, Driftwood & Dough will work with you to provide a replacement, repair, refund, or other suitable resolution.

For one-of-a-kind pieces that cannot be recreated, a replacement may not be possible. In those circumstances, another appropriate resolution will be offered.

Return Shipping

For approved standard returns that are not the result of damage, defect, or an incorrect shipment, the customer is responsible for return shipping.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and appropriate insurance, particularly for fragile products.

Customers are responsible for ensuring returned merchandise is packaged securely. Refunds may be reduced or denied if an item is returned damaged because it was inadequately packaged.

Refunds

Once an approved return is received and inspected, you will be notified regarding the status of your refund.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the return resulted from an error by Driftwood & Dough or as otherwise required by applicable law.

Financial institutions and payment processors may require additional time to post an approved refund to your account.

Order Cancellations

For non-custom products, please contact us as quickly as possible if you need to request a cancellation.

We cannot guarantee cancellation once an order has entered processing or has shipped.

Personalized, customized, and made-to-order items cannot be canceled once production has begun.

Final Sale Items

The following are generally considered final sale unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect:

• Personalized products
• Custom products
• Made-to-order products once production has begun
• Earrings and pierced jewelry
• Used or burned candles
• Items specifically identified as Final Sale
